Madi Gaines is a queer indie rock/shoegaze artist from Portland, Oregon, known for her dreamy, reverb-soaked sound and emotional lyrics. Her music blends lush guitars and atmospheric vocals to create a captivating, ethereal experience. "Sad Dog" is the latest single from her debut EP Trinkets, which will be released in October 2025. Madi wrote "Sad Dog" as a fun pop-rock ballad and an ode to the end of summer. It's also her favorite song to perform live. She originally met the talented Olivia Bayer—director and videographer of the music video—while bartending at her workplace. They immediately hit it off and teamed up to create a fun, edgy music video! To celebrate the release of Trinkets, Madi will be playing an EP release show at Holocene in Portland, OR on October 28th, 2025.
